All Gran Fondoists must be born in 2003 or earlier.
UCI Gran Fondo World Series
The UCI Gran Fondo World Series at the Tour de Brisbane is your chance to line up against your age group and see exactly how you stack up. Plus if you finish in the top 20% you'll have an opportunity to represent your nation at the 2020 World Championships in Whistler, Canada.
All ages are calculated as of 31 December 2020, age groups as follows:
19-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+
Age groups for over 65+ will be included if at least 6 or more participants are entered in order to meet the minimum requirements to constitute an age group for qualifying.
How is my UCI Gran Fondo qualifying time calculated?
All times are based off gun time - it is essential that if you intend to qualify for Worlds that you start in your correct wave. Riders who start in the incorrect wave will still receive a time, but will not be eligible to qualify for the World Championships.
Is rider insurance included?
If you are not a Cycling Australia member, a one day membership of $6.60 will be added to your entry at checkout.
Are there minimum speed requirements or curfews?
Yes, you must be satisfied you will meet the minimum average speed criteria needed to complete your course distance within the road-closure period. There will be multiple curfew points across the course to ensure that your ride is fully supported and the event complies with issued permits.
120km Gran Fondo - to be calculated on final course approval. Estimated at 20km/hr minimum.
If you cannot maintain the average speed for the duration of the Gran Fondo, we recommend you enter the Medio or Piccolo.

When you sign up, everyone receives a fundraising account and it's up to you in how little or how much you can play your part.
Do I get a free jersey?
From August 2019 to 31 December 2019, there was a free jersey offer for all participants who got in early and entered within this time frame. If you have entered after this date you do not receive a free jersey.
The only exception is unless you enter via The Common Good using their unique promo code or URL link and support the charity on your Tour de Brisbane journey.

Where is registration?
You can collect your race packs from South Bank on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 April. Times will be confirmed closer to the event.
